Dev-Team rolled out the updated redsn0w 0.9.9b8 which adds support for iOS 5.0.1 Beta. iOS 5.0.1 Beta was released fixing numerous security bugs and the iPhone 4S battery problem in iOS 5. Redsn0w 0.9.9b8 is available for both Windows and Mac users and can be used to deliver a tethered jailbreak to the user. iOS 5 currently has a Semi-tether available compliments of BigBoss which is currently compatible with iOS 5.0.1 Beta; it has been confirmed.
iH8Sn0w has released a revised version of Sn0wbreeze v2.8b9 for newly released iOS 5.0.1 Beta operating system. It is pertinent to mention here that Sn0wbreeze v2.8b9 jailbreaking tool requires Tethered boot means you will have to connect your iDevice with PC/Mac every time you boot up.

This jailbreak is untethered on the iPhone 3GS (old bootrom) and tethered on all other iDevices. A jailbreak for the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 has not been released yet.
