AirBlue Sharing [Review] – Seamless Bluetooth File Transfer for iOS

Something new and interesting from the house of iOS developers is ready to tell to the iOS lovers. The new Bluetooth file sharing application named ‘AirBlue’ Sharing by iOS developer Eric Day is out there for iOS users. The iOS developers provide a quick access and easy file transfer between phones or machines from short distances. The application is quite suitable for Dropbox but various older phone versions do not support Dropbox.

AirBlue worked hard on iOS for providing a lavish Bluetooth experience for lifetime. However, AirBlue has some plus and few week points as well. The need of no configuration to set it up is its great credit as having it installed; you can go on with it. In the application Settings, two new panes: AirBlue and AirBlue sharing will appear. Here if you want to quit AirBlue alone, you will be in AirBlue Sharing to pick Activator action. However, you can get it off by ‘default’ only and can switch in the settings to pick importing files to applications or not.

Following the tutorial you can easily get installed AirBlue Sharing and you can continue without enabling Bluetooth from Settings or you can keep it off. The already mentioned advantage of AirBlue Sharing is, it can manage Bluetooth by itself. As you go into the Photos app and browse a photo, tap action button to have a menu, and Bluetooth button you require; now you can tap it and a prompt window show will be ready to pick the Bluetooth enabled device to send the file. If prompt window is not showing up, go to refresh the list; but be sure Bluetooth is enabled; on the device trying to send the file to.

Mac users can get this message; showing Bluetooth, sharing not enabled. Do not get worry simply follow the demonstration to fix by >System Preferences>Sharing and from the list, putt check mark in the Bluetooth sharing check box. Then try the Bluetooth sharing from the iDevice again showing a popup on your Mac. Now click the Accept button to complete the file transfer and the file end up in download folder. A display image indicates the completion. Now toggle Activator action in order to shut down AirBlue sharing.

AirBlue gives sharing with Mac and other devices supporting Bluetooth sharing with much faster speed as 1.7 megabytes per second. To send a file with an iPhone to another iPhone, the later may be running AirBlue sharing, or other client such as Celeste Bluetooth File Sharing that is compatible as well. However, unluckily cannot do transfer a file to a non-jailbroken iPhone or have to use aiding software for Bluetooth.

Using AirBlue Sharing, Bluetooth devices paired once & do not require registration and setting up connection every time to send file. The convenience of the app not ended here; AirBlue Sharing will not drain battery life, as it automatically shuts off Bluetooth after finishing file-sharing session. Therefore, re-enable AirBlue by using set Activator action.

Whenever you want to go for speed between Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, to share a large file (video) in the range of Wi-Fi, transfer the file from one device to the other assuming that both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. Without Wi-Fi signal, AirBlue Sharing create a Wi-Fi hotspot to send the file. Both these features are limited for iDevice to iDevice only. These methods speed up large files using more battery than Bluetooth do.

AirBlue Sharing can share all media files like; contacts on iOS Address Book, music without synchronizing through iTunes, notes recorded Notes application, photos, videos, voice memos recorded for reminders and much more. One thing great about the app is you can send and receive more than one file at a time with sound notifications at the end of transfer, giving you grip on multitasking flexibility.
